The Village

Malito

The village of Malito lies inside the coastal mountains of the Savuto River Valley in the Comune of Cosenza, Calabria. The village itself was founded around the year 986, however it's history can be traced as far back as Roman times.

There are approximately 855 inhabitants in the village, but this number swells during the summer months with expats returning for holidays from America, Australia, Canada and Germany.
